REALTOR® Membership - Primary

By completing and submitting this form, I hereby apply for REALTOR® Membership in the Northeast Association of REALTORS® (NEAR), and agree to pay a one time non-refundable application fee of $99.00 and applicable dues for NEAR, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR), and National Association of REALTORS® for the current year. Please note that dues are prorated monthly and your total will be adjusted before payment.

In the event that my application is approved and I am elected into membership, I agree as a condition of my membership to complete the NEAR New Member Orientation program within sixty (60) days of this application and, on my own initiative, to thoroughly familiarize myself with the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® including the duty to arbitrate business disputes in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual of the Association, and the Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of NEAR, MAR, and NAR. In the event I not elected to membership, my dues will be returned to me.

I understand that should I withdraw this application or fail to attend the New Member Orientation class within sixty (60) days of my application; my application will be CANCELLED and the application fee will be retained by the Association as a service charge. I will be required to remit an additional application fee if I decide to reapply. 

I further agree that my act of paying dues shall evidence my initial and continuing commitment to abide by the aforementioned Code of Ethics, Constitution, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and duty to arbitrate, all as from time to time amended.

I consent that NEAR, MAR, and NAR may contact me at the specified address, phone/cell numbers, email address, or other means of communication. This consent applies to changes in contact information that may be provided by me to the Association(s) in the future. This consent recognizes that certain state and federal laws may place limits on communications that I am waiving to receive all communications as part of my membership.

I hereby certify that the following information furnished by me is true and correct, and I agree that failure to provide complete and accurate information as requested, or any misstatement of fact, shall be grounds for revocation of my membership if granted.

NOTE: I acknowledge that if accepted as a member and I subsequently resigns from the Association or otherwise cause membership to terminate with an ethics complaint pending, the Board of Directors may condition renewal of membership upon my certification that I will submit to the pending ethics proceeding and will abide by the decision of the hearing panel. If I resign or otherwise my cause membership to terminate, the duty to submit to arbitration continues in effect even after membership lapses or is terminated, provided the dispute arose while I was a REALTOR®.
