9:00 am: Environmental Issues

Learn about the liability and health effects associated with lead paint, radon, asbestos, electro magnetic waves, wetlands, carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, water quality testing, well water systems, remediation costs, oil tank laws, and more.


11:30 am: Green Homes
MA RE21RC01 & NH RE86R14 

All real estate agents and contractors are encouraged to attend this two-hour class. Packed with information about high performance homes and buildings, the class provides an overview of Energy Star and LEED design buildings. This course will teach you what ‘green’ actually means! Students will understand the meaning of sustainability, as well as the requirements to maintain LEED certification at the silver, gold and platinum levels. Energy efficient mortgages, climate change, tax credits and solar heat are also discussed.
