Please join speakers from Freddie Mac and MassHousing to learn about their Affordable Product Solutions – Home Possible®, HomeOneSM, HFA Advantage®. You will learn about the background of Freddie Mac and their role in the mortgage process in partnering with Realtor Organizations and Housing Finance Agencies. An outline of the mortgage ecosystem that makes the journey to homeownership possible for homebuyers will be presented along with current market data trends that can help identify business growth opportunities for agents. Freddie Mac has a series of tools and resources available to help agents grow their business that they can utilize in their day to day activities that will be helpful in prepping first time homebuyers and resources that can help future homebuyers become mortgage ready through financial literacy courses such as our Credit Smart course and Homebuyer U course. Both are free. In addition agents can also become a certified trainer in Credit Smart and utilize this to do consumer education in their local communities. We will also have a guest speaker from MassHousing to discuss their programs and partnership with Freddie Mac.

James Hall Single Family Affordable Lending Manager, Freddie Mac
Joined Freddie Mac April 30, 2018 as their Single Family Affordable Lending Manager to promote the Freddie Mac HFA Advantage Mortgage program to HFA’s lenders and realtors. Prior to this position I worked at the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) for 12 years as the Assistant Director in the Single Family Division. In that position I was responsible for business development while being an advocate for affordable lending for workforce families and the underserved. Prior to joining NJHMFA I worked in the private mortgage industry for 20 years in various business development and operations positions. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University – Camden.

Goretti Joaquin Senior Relationship Manager, MassHousing
Goretti Joaquim joined MassHousing in August 2005 as a Business Development Officer, working to promote MassHousing’s visibility with Lenders, Realtors, Non-Profits in underserved Communities.

Prior to joining MassHousing, Goretti worked in the private mortgage industry as a Senior Mortgage Insurance Representative and then as an Underwriting/Operational Manager for First Federal Savings Bank. She has over 25 years of experience in the banking and mortgage industry. Goretti attended the University of Massachusetts and studied Business Administration and Finance. Currently, she lives in Dartmouth with her family and enjoys spending time by the ocean and traveling.
