9:00 am: Alternative Dispute Resolution and Procuring Cause
(MA RE54R06): The objectives of this course provide a comprehensive overview of Alternative Dispute Resolution ("ADR") as well as the concept and legal basis for Procuring Cause. Massachusetts Licensing Laws do not mandate ADR of business disputes, but there is federal and state law as well as growing use in myriad commercial transactions, real estate transactions in many other states as well as many multiple listing services and local real estate boards. The Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® contains arbitration clauses.
11:30 am: Conducting Open Houses & Developing Safety Plan
(MA RE36R05): Learn how to explain agency relationship at Open Houses with your seller and prospective buyers. Learn Agent Responsibility and Owner Responsibility. Develop a safety plan including important questions to ask as you enter the house, safety guidelines, and best practices.
