This comprehensive course equips licensees with in-depth knowledge of today’s residential mortgage financing market. Participants will explore key topics such as mortgage fundamentals, credit reports and scoring, loan qualification standards, and the evolving role of lenders and mortgage brokers. The course covers critical legal aspects, including Truth in Lending (Regulation Z), the Tax Relief Act of 1997, and consumer credit rights. Additionally, students will analyze various loan products, including FHA, VA, adjustable-rate, and non-traditional loans, as well as strategies for managing interest rates, prepayment penalties, and private mortgage insurance. Designed for real estate professionals, this course ensures a solid understanding of the mortgage process, enabling informed guidance for homebuyers in a competitive lending environment.
